Yes—while DAFs can’t be set up for automatic monthly payments like a credit card, you can recommend recurring grants to ALIVE! through your DAF sponsor. Many platforms allow you to schedule monthly, quarterly, or annual distributions.

Log into your Donor-Advised Fund account (such as Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, etc.) and select “Recommend a Grant.”

Then choose the option for recurring grants, and select your preferred schedule (monthly, quarterly, etc.).

Yes. If you give directly through a credit card, bank account, or check, ALIVE! will email or mail you a tax receipt for each gift, and you’ll also receive a year-end statement summarizing your contributions for tax purposes.

If you give through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), your DAF sponsor (such as Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or Vanguard Charitable) is the one who provides your official tax receipt, since your donation is made to them first. ALIVE! will send you an acknowledgment letter each time we receive your recommended grant, but it is not tax-deductible for your records. Most DAF sponsors will also provide an annual summary for your convenience.
