Tonight, the Alexandria City Council recognized the role of the National Association of Letter Carriers in providing food donations to ALIVE! and local food banks during Stamp Out Hunger.

Stamp Out Hunger is coming up on Saturday, May 11th and this event results in roughly 15,000 pounds of food donations for our grocery distribution events and food pantries. Donations of non-perishable food items can be left next to your mailbox on May 11, and your letter carrier will collect items as they deliver mail along their postal routes.
