Congregational Connection

Thank you to ALIVE! member congregation Good Shepherd Lutheran Church who helped to build and to care for this herb garden! The oregano, thyme, and mint harvested from this garden will go to the new ALIVE! Food Hub on the West End.

In addition to being an easy and convenient place for food insecure families to pick up free groceries, ALIVE!’s Food Hub is serving as place for our neighbors to connect with community resources. Our service navigators have been helping with eviction prevention resources as well as partnering with the City’s Workforce Development Center on job training and Capital Bikeshare to offer discounted access to transportation.

If you know an organization that would like to partner with the ALIVE! Food Hub or if you’d like to volunteer during the week please let us know.

Have you created your profile in our new volunteer registration system? We’ve recorded the zoom tutorial to walk you through how to set up your account and how to sign up.

Thank you to Lisa Groover for organizing this food drive on July 16th!

If you’d like to help transport food donations back to the ALIVE! warehouse or organize your own food drive please let us know by contacting xhernandez@alive-inc.org
