ALIVE!'s 28th annual walkathon was held May 3, 2009, through Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, followed
by a community picnic. All proceeds benefit the ALIVE! Child Development Center, a
full-day preschool program serving children of low-income working parents. The CDC is the only program of its
kind in Alexandria with a sliding fee scale for tuition.
